Eric Skeels

Eric Skeels Tribute Evening

STOKE CITY OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION are putting on another great night to pay tribute to one of the all time legends of the club.

Eric Skeels has played more games for Stoke City than any other player post war.

The stats available say he has made around 600 appearances and it is hard to see any player beating that figure.

Perhaps Ryan Shawcross would potentially do it if he remains with Stoke for the rest of his career.

The evening will again be in the Waddington Suite at the Britannia Stadium on Thursday March 20th starting at 7pm – 7.30pm.

Fans will be treated to the famous SCOBA pie, peas, chips and gravy before getting down to the serious part of the evening when Nigel Johnson will speak to Eric about his playing days.

To keep Eric company we have asked two other old boys to help out John King and Don Whiston both in their 80’s will also take to the stage to support the evening.

To round off the evening comedian Ian Sludge Lees will entertain us with his unique comedy and humour.

We are also pleased to have M-WAY Vehicle Rental Ltd as our sponsor for this evening.

There will be a limit of 350 tickets and every previous SCOBA event has sold out, so make sure you don’t miss out. Tickets are £20 per person.
